The Pakistan Padel Workshop 2025, organized by the Pakistan Padel Federation (PPF), was held on 19th January 2025 at Hotel Marriott, Karachi. The event marked a significant step toward promoting and developing the sport of padel in Pakistan, attracting key stakeholders, players, and media attention.

Key Highlights

Chief Guest and Keynote Address

The workshop was graced by Mr. Ahmed Ali Rajput, Secretary General of the Sindh Olympic Association and Organizing Secretary of National Games 2025. In his address, Mr. Rajput praised the PPF’s efforts in elevating padel and announced its inclusion in the National Games 2025 on a demonstration basis. He further assured the affiliation of the Sindh Padel Association with the Sindh Olympic Association within two months and pledged support in terms of trophies, medals, certificates, and sponsorship for upcoming padel events.

Participation and Messages

The workshop witnessed participation from 55 individuals, including players, coaches, and padel enthusiasts. Mr. Muhammad Mateen, President of PPF, joined via video link, emphasizing the federation’s commitment to grassroots development and collaboration with various stakeholders. He also acknowledged the global contributions of Mr. Luigi Carraro, President of the International Padel Federation (FIP), and Ms. Donatella, Director of International Relations, for their unwavering support.

The workshop featured insightful lectures delivered by Mr. Mudassar Razak, Senior Vice President of PPF, and Mr. Rehanuddin, Director of Rules. Key topics included:

  • Recognition of padel as a sport.

  • Upcoming FIP events and policies.

  • Asian international events.

  • PPF’s plans for national and provincial tournaments.

  • Licensing and registration for players, coaches, and clubs.

  • Basic padel rules and the national ranking system.

  • FIP Level-0 coaching course implementation.

The workshop received extensive coverage from electronic and print media, with special segments aired on national TV channels. This exposure significantly raised public awareness about padel and garnered interest from potential sponsors.
