The Pakistan Padel Federation’s Junior Team proudly participated at the FIP Junior World Cup, held in Spain from September 26 to October 5. A strong 12-member squad participated across the U14, U16, and U18 categories, marking another important step in Pakistan’s padel journey in international padel.
Ahead of the tournament, the squad underwent an intensive training camp in Karachi, which began on September 8. The camp focused on fitness, strategy, and adapting to international standards of the game. The team then departed for Spain on September 23, motivated and well-prepared for the global stage.
Before entering the main rounds of the World Cup, the qualifying stage (Phase 2) was held from September 26 to 28, featuring teams from Asia and Africa, including Egypt, UAE, Senegal, Qatar, Japan, Iran, and Lebanon. These teams were divided into two groups, with the top performers battling it out for a place in the main draw.
The FIP Junior World Cup 2025 brought together 36 nations in total, showcasing the sport’s growing international appeal. Competing at this scale was a milestone achievement for the Pakistan Padel Federation’s team, as it not only gave young players exposure to top-level competition but also highlighted Pakistan’s emergence on the global padel map.
The squad was carefully selected based on national rankings and performances at the Junior Championship, under the guidance of Federation President Muhammad Mateen. With this participation, the Pakistan Padel Federation continues to build pathways for young athletes, laying the foundation for future success in world competitions.
